Is Flirting Harmless Fun?

Is Flirting Harmless Fun?
What is flirting?
Some people think of flirting as conveying the impression through words or actions that you are romantically interested in a person of the opposite sex. Is it wrong to show that you are romantically interested in someone? Not necessarily. “If you’re in a position to date and you’re interested in someone,” says a young woman named Ann, “how else can you find out if the feeling is mutual?”
In this article, however, we will discuss the kind of flirting that involves acting as if you have a romantic interest in someone when you have no serious intent.
“It’s one thing to pay special attention to someone because you want to start a romantic relationship. It’s a different matter to lead someone on and then pull the rug out from under him because you were never really serious.”—Deanna.
Why do some people do it?
Some people flirt just to boost their ego. “When you realize you can attract that kind of attention, you may want more of it,” says a young woman named Hailey.
But if you intentionally give the impression that you have romantic interest in someone when in fact you do not, you show a callous disregard for the other person’s feelings. You also call into question your judgment. The Bible says: “Foolishness is a joy to one lacking good sense.”— Proverbs 15:21 .
For good reason, Hailey concludes, “Flirting may begin harmlessly, but it often ends dangerously.”
What are the dangers?
Flirting hurts your reputation.
“A person who flirts comes across as insecure and immature. You feel that she is not being honest with you but is only trying to get something out of you.”—Jeremy.
The Bible says: “Love . . . does not look for its own interests.”— 1 Corinthians 13:4, 5 .
To think about: What kind of words or actions could cause you to gain a reputation as a flirt?
Flirting hurts the person you flirt with.
“If I meet someone who is flirty, it makes me not want to be around him. It’s as if the only reason he’s talking to me is because I’m a girl. People who flirt don’t really care about me; they only care about making themselves feel better.”—Jaque
line.
The Bible says: “Let each one keep seeking, not his own advantage, but that of the other person.”— 1 Corinthians 10:24 .
To think about: Have you ever been led to believe that someone had a romantic interest in you, only to find out that you were wrong? If so, how did you feel afterward? How can you avoid hurting someone else in that way?
Flirting hurts your prospects for genuine romance.
“A flirt would be a totally undesirable person to marry or even to date. How could I really get to know or trust someone if he is just putting on an act?”—Olivia.
In the Bible, the psalmist David states: “I avoid those who hide what they are.”—
Psalm 26:4 .
To think about: What kind of person does a flirt appeal to? Is that the kind of person you want to attract?

#Ransomware ! Are you ready to pay the price ?#

(New way of kidnapping online )Ransomware is a type of malicious software that carries out the cryptoviral extortion attack from cryptovirologythat blocks access to data until a ransom is paid and displays a message requesting payment to unlock it. Ransomware, which is often transmitted by email or web pop-ups, involves locking up people’s data and threatening to destroy it if a ransom is not paid. The global cyberattack has affected almost 220,000 Windows computers in more than 150 countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, Germany and Britain. The cybercriminals have generally targeted places that has enough files incliuding hospitals, academic institutions, blue-chip companies and businesses like movie theater chains. The attacks highlight the challenges that organizations face with consistently applying security safeguards on a large scale.“Not only individuals, but even governments and big companies with so much to lose fail to secure their systems and train their employees about necessary security practices,” said Marty P. Kamden, a marketing executive for the private network service provider NordVPN. “Cautious online behavior would probably have prevented the malware from infecting the network in the first place.”What can businesses and individuals do to protect themselves from ransomware? Here are some tips from security experts. Update your software. Security experts believe the malware that spurred this global attack, called Wann aCry, may have initially infected machines by getting people to download it through email. After that, the malicious code was able to easily travel to a broader network of computers that were linked together through the Windows file-sharing system. (Users of Macs or other non-Windows computers were not affected.)The most disheartening revelation from the cyberattack was that there was a fix available for the Ransom war enemies the attack. Microsoft, which makes Windows, released a patch for the WannaCry vulnerability eight weeks ago, said Chris Wysopal, the chief technology officer of Veracode, an application security company.. Apply all measures to protect your PC from being kidnapped so that you'nt pay for Ransom.

Ideal Conditions. By Edidiong Rapheal Udoeyop

Would you like your life to go on indefinately-full and satisfying?. Likely Yes, there are so many interesting things to do,facinating places to see and new things to learn. Yet, seemingly unsolvable problems interfare with our enjoyment of life. For example there's the comparative shortness of our present life span. Then, too, life is full of sickness, sorrow and trouble. Thus for people to enjoy life to the full,in all dimensions, the ideal would be to have :
1. Radiant health.
2. Unending life.
3. Complete security.
4. Absorbing work
5. Sourroundings like Paradise.
From the human viewpoint, that's seem impossible, but know that..
A. Human cannot achieve ideal conditions, but God can.
B. Such ideal conditions would enable us to enjoy life fully.
C. Those who choose to be independent of the creator will be cut off.
D. Those hoping in Jehovah will survive.
E. There will be a dramatic change in the earth itself.
F. Mankind will have the enjoyable task of transforming the earth into Paradise. Hope for the ideal.

Environmental Watch.(Series 2)

Ediraph Environmental watch.(Series 2) Compiled by EDIDIONG RAPHEAL UDOEYOP (Ediraph).

1.>>Cows and Greenhouse Gas.

Methane gas is said to be 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide in causing global warming. It is estimated that worldwide, 100 million tons of methane are produced every year by some two billion cattle, sheep, and goats. According to The Canberra Times, livestock produce 13 percent of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions, while in New Zealand the figure is about 46 percent. Microorganisms in a ruminant’s stomach break down fodder and produce methane, which is released through the animal’s mouth. In an effort to reduce the animals’ contribution to global warming, scientists are now experimenting with ways to increase milk production per head while reducing the methane produced by the animals.

2.>>Deadly Air Pollution.

“Road traffic is the fastest growing source of pollution in Europe and in some countries more people are dying as a result of this air pollution than are being killed in [traffic] accidents,” reports Reuters news service. According to a study by the World Health Organization, 21,000 people in Austria, France, and Switzerland die prematurely every year from respiratory or heart diseases that are triggered by air pollution. In a separate report, it is estimated that in 36 Indian cities, 110 people die prematurely every day as a result of air pollution.

3.>>Threat From Shrinking Glaciers.

The world’s largest body of ice outside the polar regions will disappear within 40 years if the current rate of melting continues, reports The Sunday Telegraph of London. A combination of rising global temperatures and the relatively low latitude of the Himalayas threatens the region’s 15,000 glaciers. The Gangotri glacier, which is one of the sources of the Ganges River, has shrunk by almost one third of its length in the past 50 years. Syed Hasnain, a scientist who monitors the glaciers, warns that if the current rate continues, “rivers such as the Ganges, the Indus and the Brahmaputra, which receive about 70 to 80 per cent of their water from snow and glacial melt, will dry up.” The result would be “an ecological disaster,” he warns. Meantime, the risk of serious flooding grows. When glaciers shrink, lakes are formed that are surrounded by fragile walls of ice, boulders, and sand. As melting continues, the walls burst, sending devastating floods to the valleys below.

4.>>Early Warning.

“The world may be in store for a decade of ‘super- disasters,’” reports World Press Review, based on an article in London’s Financial Times. Citing such natural disasters as cyclones and earthquakes, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies warns that large populations are vulnerable to catastrophe. “Of the world’s 50 fastest- growing cities, 40 are in earthquake zones, and half the world’s population lives in coastal regions, exposed to rising sea levels,” the magazine says. Another ominous sign is that while disasters are increasing, government funding for emergency aid has dropped in many nations.
5.>>Oral Ecosystem
“Stanford University scientists have discovered 37 new and unique organisms in one of the most diverse ecosystems on earth: the human mouth,” reports The Toronto Star. This increases the known types of oral bacteria to over 500, “a diversity so large that it may rival that of tropical rain forests, often seen as the pinnacle of biological richness.” Is the bacteria harmful? After discovering the new organisms in oral plaque, microbiologist Dr. David Relman stated: “Such diversity is quite reassuring because it provides for biological stability and protection.” The Star adds that most types of bacteria “are thought to provide comfort, protection and nourishment.” Only a few cause problems such as tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath.

Scientists find evidence of space-time theory.

EINSTEIN GOT IT RIGHT! Scientists find evidence of space-time theory.

Fox news reports that After decades of searching, scientists announced Thursday that they have detected gravitational waves -- essentially ripples in the fabric of space-time -- that had been predicted by Einstein.
An international team of astrophysicists said that they detected the waves from the distant crash of two black holes, using a $1.1 billion instrument. The Ligo Collaboration was behind the discovery and it has been accepted for publication in the journal Physical Review Letters.
NASA says
"We have detected gravitational waves," Caltechs David H. Reitze, executive director of the LIGO Laboratory, told journalists at a news conference in Washington, DC.
Our observation of gravitational waves accomplishes an ambitious goal set out over five decades ago to directly detect this elusive phenomenon and better understand the universe, and, fittingly, fulfills Einsteins legacy on the 100th anniversary of his general theory of relativity, Reitze said in a statement.
The news, according to the Associated Press, is being compared by at least one theorist to Galileo taking up a telescope and looking at the planets and the biggest discovery since the discovery of the Higgs particle. It has stunned the world of physics and astronomy, prompting scientists to say it is the beginning of a new era in physics that could lead to scores more astrophysical discoveries and the exploration of the warped side of the universe.
Every year I tell my Gravity class about the three classics successes of General Relativity: the perihelion precession of Mercury, light bending and gravitational redshift. Next year, Ill be adding a fourth: gravitational waves, Tony Padilla, Royal Society University Research Fellow in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nottingham, said in a statement.
Their detection is a stunning triumph for experiment, for theory, and most notably, for Einstein. And the source of these waves is rumored to be a merger of two black holes. Wow! Just wow! Black holes really exist," he said. "No more arguments. Looking further ahead we can look forward to a whole new era for astronomy, listening out for these remarkable signals that will teach us so much about the fundamental nature of gravity and the Universe. Its almost as if we have grown a new set of ears, and there could be so much to hear!
The discovery confirms a major prediction of Albert Einsteins 1915 general theory of relativity. Gravitation waves carry information about their dramatic origins and about the nature of gravity that cannot be obtained from elsewhere.
Not only have they fascinated scientists, but found their way into pop culture -- namely through movies such as "Back to the Future," where the space-time continuum was used as a medium for the DeLorean time machine to go back in time. It also was featured in the "Terminator" series.Their existence was first demonstrated in the 1970s and 1980s by Joseph Taylor, Jr., and colleagues. In 1974, Taylor and Russell Hulse discovered a binary system composed of a pulsar in orbit around a neutron star. Taylor and Joel M. Weisberg in 1982 found that the orbit of the pulsar was slowly shrinking over time because of the release of energy in the form of gravitational waves. For discovering the pulsar and showing that it would make possible this particular gravitational wave measurement, Hulse and Taylor were awarded the 1993 Nobel Prize in Physics.
In the latest breakthrough, the gravitational waves were detected on Sept. 14, 2015, by both of the twin Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) detectors, located in Livingston, La., and Hanford, Wash.
Based on the observed signals, LIGO scientists estimate that the black holes for this event were about 29 and 36 times the mass of the sun, and the event took place 1.3 billion years ago. About three times the mass of the Sun was converted into gravitational waves in a fraction of a second -- with a peak power output about 50 times that of the whole visible universe.
By looking at the time of arrival of the signals -- the detector in Livingston recorded the event 7 milliseconds before the detector in Hanford -- scientists can say that the source was located in the Southern Hemisphere.

Unanswered Questions From Scientist.

Science in their quest for universal acceptance are faced with challenges as they could'nt answer the following natural question.
1.>>> Biologists do not fully understand the processes that take place in living cells. How cells consume energy, how they produce proteins, and how they divide are questions science has not yet completely answered.
2.>>>Gravity affects us every second of every day. Yet it is something of a mystery to physicists. They do not know fully how gravity pulls you down to the ground when you jump or how it keeps the moon in orbit around the earth.
3.>>>Cosmologis ts estimate that about 95 percent of what makes up the universe is invisible and undetectable by scientific instruments. They divide this strange entity into two categories, dark matter and dark energy. The nature of these remains unknown.
There are other unknowns that confound scientists. Why is this important? A popular science writer notes: “Our knowledge is vastly outstripped by our ignorance. For me, a life in science prompts awe and exploration over dogmatism.”
So if you wonder whether science is about to replace the Bible and dispense with belief in God ( Da ibon oro Don Fail You), consider this point: If brilliant scientists with their powerfull instruments have been able to gain only limited understanding of the natural world, would it be logical to dismiss out of hand the matters that lie beyond the reaches of science to investigate? Quite to the point, at the end of a lengthy article on the history and development of astronomy, Encyclopedia Britannica concludes: “After almost 4,000 years of astronomy, the universe is no less strange than it must have seemed to the Babylonians.”

How Does Science Affects Your Life

Science, is defined as “the systematic study of the nature and behaviour of the material and physical universe, based on observation, experiment, and measurement.” To do all of that is hard, often frustrating, work. Scientists struggle with experiments and observations for weeks, months, or even years. Sometimes their labors lead to dead ends, but in many cases they deliver benefits to mankind. Few examples are.
A European company has combined strong plastic and advanced filters to produce a device that has made it possible for a person to avoid illness from drinking contaminated water. Devices like that one have been put to use during natural disasters, such as the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTED (GPS)
High above the earth, networks of satellites make up what is called the Global Positioning System (GPS). Originally designed for military applications, the GPS helps motorists, airplane pilots, ship navigators, and even hunters and hikers to find their way. Thanks to the scientists who invented it, the GPS makes it easier to get to where you want to go.

COMMUNICATION AND HEALTH.
Do you use a cell phone, a computer, or the Internet? Have you seen that your health has improved or has been restored because of advanced medicine? Do you travel by airplane? If so, you are benefiting from some of the ways in which science has been a boon to humanity. Science has affected your life in many positive ways.

THE REACH OF MODERN SCIENCE.
In an effort to expand their horizon, modern scientists are searching deep into the natural world. Nuclear physicists peer into the inner workings of the atom, while astrophysicists trace back billions of years, in an attempt to understand the origin of the universe. As they probe deep and far, even into realms that are invisible and untouchable, some scientists feel that if the God of the Bible exists, they should be able to find him. Ukót Anaam Ibon oro.
Some prominent scientists and philosophers go further. They carry on what science author Amir D. Aczel called “a scientific argument against the existence of God.” For example, a world-famous physicist claimed that “the absence of evidence for any God who plays an important role in the universe proves beyond a reasonable doubt that such a god does not exist.” Others allude to the activity of the God of the Bible as “magic” and “supernatural shenanigans.” *
However, the question must be asked: Has science learned enough about the natural world to be able to draw definitive conclusions?(Itoñoke toño nkpo dien). They have not yet started. Science has made tremendous progress, but many scientists recognize that there are still many unknowns and perhaps unknowables. “We will never get to the bottom of things,” said physicist and Nobel laureate Steven Weinberg on understanding nature.
“There may be things that humans will never understand.” The truth is that much of nature, from the tiny cell to the vast universe, still remains beyond the grasp of modern science. The design of our universe is not and will never be a product of Evolution, there is a designer and he still exist hence they (scientist)should start afresh on their research.
Having seen these the master designer of the universe design the earth for human survival.
Watch out for other series.

Bible perspective about Gambling.

Bible perspective about Gambling.

Although the Bible does not discuss gambling in detail, we can discern from Bible principles that God views gambling as a sin.— Ephesians 5: 17. *
*.
Gambling is driven by greed, which God hates. ( 1 Corinthians 6: 9, 10; Ephesians 5: 3, 5) Gamblers hope to gain money through the losses of others, but the Bible condemns coveting other people’s possessions.— Exodus 20:17; Romans 7:7; 13: 9, 10.
*.
Gambling, even for small amounts, can arouse a destructive love of money.— 1 Timothy 6: 9, 10.
*.
Gamblers often rely on superstitions or luck. However, God views such beliefs as a form of idolatry, which is incompatible with his worship.— Isaiah 65:11.
*.
Rather than promote a desire to get something for nothing, the Bible encourages hard work. ( Ecclesiastes 2: 24; Ephesians 4: 28) Those who follow the Bible’s advice can “eat food they themselvesearn.”— 2 Thessalonians 3: 10, 12.
*.
Gambling can arouse an unhealthy competitive spirit, which is disapproved in the Bible.— Galatians 5: 26

President Buhari and 2016 Budget.

According to Daily Trust, president Buhari promised to adequately distribute the welfare intervention funds as contained in the budget to states and local governments across the country.

The allocation of the intervention funds is expected to boost job creation in the country and help stabilize the economy.
The sum of N200 billion has been set aside for the intervention project as contained in the 2016 budget proposal presented on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Hausa yesterday, December 24, the president emphasized the fact that although the plan is to ensure job creation through the intervention funds, not every citizen will receive directly from the process.
He said:“It would be impossible for everybody to get the welfare. But we all know that the federal government has been saying that it would work closely with state and local governments. And at the local government level, it could be said that everybody knows each other. They know those who have small businesses that can receive the support and retrieve it.
“This issue is clear and how to administer it is very much known by the people. Therefore, the arrangement must strictly be followed to ensure job creation.”
President Buhari also stated that 30 percent of the 2016 budget has been set aside for capital projects in order to help revamp the nation’s economy.
According to the president, the issue of disbursing funds for salaries of ghost workers has been addressed. This is in a bid to attend to pressing issues as well as steer the nation towards better resource maximization. To this end, there are currently 24 ministers in the country as against 42 from the previous administration.

Viewpoint watch (ediraphwatch): Buhari To Meet With Ministers Only When Necessary

Contrary to the culture of a weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC), President Muhammadu Buhari has decided t meet with members of his cabinet on when necessary, New Telegraph reports.
The meeting which is supposed to be presided over by the president and the vice president would also include ministers, chief of staff to the president, secretary to the government of the federation, national security adviser and the head of service of the federation.
The first FEC meeting under the administration of President Buhari took place on its inauguration after ministers had been given their portfolios on Wednesday, November 11.A senior official of the government who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the president was not against meeting with members of his cabinet but would only do so when issues of national importance arise.
“The focus of government is that FEC will meet when the president deems it fit to sit with his cabinet and deliberate on serious policy issues and may be, ministerial appraisals to ensure that there are deliverables.
“You will remember that since after inauguration, the president met his cabinet only twice to consider the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and then the budget proposal which has already been submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.”
President Buhari, it was revealed would only meet with his ministers at intervals to find out how they were working towards achieving the targets given to them.

Ediraph's Blog: The Efficacy Of Onions Peels

Much have been written on this but much is still desired, this article will highlight the efficacy of onions peels.

So, many of us would extract the pulp of these fruit and vegetables and use them, then throw away the peels, right?

Well, the lesser known fact is that, even the peels of certain fruit and vegetables contain a whole lot of nutrition and come with medicinal properties.

Health benefits of onion
For example, banana peel is said to rejuvenate your skin and apple peel is known to kill the germs in your stomach to keep you healthier.

Now, most of us would already know of the health benefits of onion, right?

Onion is a vegetable which is a good source of manganese, potassium, vitamins B1, B6, C, fibre, etc.

So, with all these nutrients present in it, along with certain powerful enzymes, onion can treat many health conditions.

Onions can boost immunity, regulate blood sugar levels, reduce inflammations, treat common cold and even prevent

ZIKA VIRUS.

Bumpy rash, achy joints, inflamed eyes? Almost 24,000 infant have been infected by Zika Virus.
There’s a new disease in townNever heard of the Zika virus? That may change soon. Almost unknown in humans until the past decade, Zika is now spreading fast through South America and Oceania, and it may soon knock on our doors, too. Although it can resemble a mild case of the flu, the disease can lead to some serious neurological complications, including paralysis and difficulty breathing. It’s also the first known mosquito-borne disease that can be transmitted sexually among humans.
The virus was discovered in 1947 in a feverish rhesus monkey living in the Zika Forest of Uganda, but until 2007 scientists knew of only 14 human cases of the disease. That year it arrived on the travel-brochure-perfect Yap Island in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. Within a few months, nearly three-quarters of the island’s 11,000 or so residents older than 3 had been infected.
At first, those sick with Zika developed fever, joint pains and eye inflammation; then a red, bumplike rash erupted, sometimes followed by painful swelling of hands and feet. Some people vomited. Others were sensitive to light. But the symptoms usually resolved a couple of days later, and no one died.
In 2013 Zika popped up again, this time in Tahiti and other parts of French Polynesia. An estimated 28,000 people (about 11 percent of the population of those islands) felt sick enough with the virus to seek medical care. By 2014 it was showing up in several other South Pacific spots: New Caledonia, east of Australia; the Cook Islands; and, early this year, Easter Island, which marked the official arrival of the disease in the Americas, since that remote island is part of Chile.
Zika showed up in Brazil in May, prompting the World Health Organization and the Pan American Health Organization to issue an epidemiological alert. As of June 16, the number of suspected cases in the Brazilian state of Bahia topped 24,000.
So what happened? Why would an obscure virus emerge so suddenly and spread so fast?
Zika is a flavivirus related to yellow fever, chikungunya, dengue fever, West Nile and Japanese encephalitis, all of which are common in tropical climates but have started to spread in the United States and Europe in concert with warming temperatures, and they can cause serious health problems, even death. One possibility is that the virus has evolved, either making humans more susceptible or making it easier for mosquitoes to transmit it. “These types of viruses can evolve very fast,” Freire says. “The problem [with confirming that theory] is that we have very few complete genomes of this virus to study.”
Researchers believe that Zika most likely was spread in the blood of an infected traveler — perhaps someone from Uganda or elsewhere in East Africa — who served as a meal for a local mosquito. When that insect latched on to someone else, a new chain of transmission began.
The virus spread quickly because people in the new location had no previous exposure or immunity. “When a new virus is introduced in a population which has never seen it before, it can be transmitted easily, explosion-like,”Therefore, Zika virus will likely spread to new areas, and people should take steps to prevent mosquito bites to reduce their risk of infection.”

YOUR BODY AS AN ENGINE. (Part 1) Stay Healthy.

YOUR BODY AS AN ENGINE. (Part 1) Stay Healthy. Compiled by Edidiong Rapheal Udoeyop Taking care of your health can improve your performance —and your quality of life. Awake ! Magazine of october 2012 highlight thus. It Only makes sense to take care of the body that God gave you. To illustrate: Imagine that you own a car, but you never take time to maintain it. The car will only go so far before it breaks down. The same can happen to your body. What kind of “maintenance” do you need? >> REST. Skimping on sleep can make you look haggard and leave you feeling lethargic, confused, and even depressed. In contrast, getting sufficient rest will give you more energy. It can also accelerate your physical growth, improve your brain function, boost your immune system, and enhance your emotional well-being. That is quite a return for something that requires so little effort! *[Tip]*: If possible, try to go to bed at the same time each night. >>NUTRITION Teens grow rapidly. Between the ages of 10 and 17, for example, most boys double their lean body weight. Girls experience a growth spurt too. Growing bodies need plenty of raw materials and energy. Make sure that you give your body the nutrition it needs. *[Tip]*: Do not skip breakfast. ‘Fueling up’ before class can help you improve your concentration and your short- term memory. >>EXERCISE It can strengthen your muscles and bones, improve your stamina, control your weight, increase your mental capabilities, boost your immunity, alleviate stress, and lift your mood. Of course, exercise can also be fun, since it can include activities you enjoy! Adequate sleep, balanced nutrition, and moderate exercise will help you keep your “engine” running. Andthat,in turn, will help you upgrade your performance. Why not get started? Establish a reasonable exercise routine. Track your sleeping habits and diet for a month, and note any improvements you need to make.

FRESH AIR: VITAL TO OPTIMUM HEALTH

Air we breath is the most essential element needed to sustain life. Overall health of our body and mind in a great degree depends upon the amount of pure, fresh air breathed. But nowadays people often tend to forget about the importance of spending time outside and underestimate the health benefits of spending time outdoors. Of what important is oxygen . A steady supply of fresh air that is full of oxygen is very important for OPTIMUM HEALTH. Fresh air provides you with a steady supply of oxygen which is needed by your brain and every single cell of your body. The body is made up of cells. Cells in turn make up tissues and tissues in turn make up the organs of the body. Every function carried on by the body is directly related to the life of the cells. Cells need four things to live and function properly such as oxygen, water, nutrition and cleansing. Without oxygen the cells die in three minutes as it is one chemical essential for the cells to create energy.  Health benefits of fresh Air. The air that we breathe in any indoor location is not as fresh as our body needs to remain healthy. This is why health experts highly recommend taking a break from the indoor air and to go out to enjoy fresh air. There are many health benefits of fresh air, such as:
*.Fresh air cleans the lungs and helps to bring more oxygen to the cells and improves the cleansing action of your lungs. When you exhale and breathe out through your lungs, you release airborne toxins from your body. The increased oxygen level in the body brings with it increased energy to do the things you need to do.
*.More oxygen also brings greater clarity to the brain, which needs twenty percent of our body’s oxygen to function. When you breathe fresh air you can automatically think better as compared to when you remain inside a room for a longer period of time.
*.Fresh air is good for digestion as it helps you to digest food more effectively. That is why experts’ recommend taking a small walk outside after you eat. From all the health benefits of fresh air, this one is really important if you are trying to lose weight. *.Fresh air also improves your blood pressure and heart rate. Those who have a problem with blood pressure should avoid staying at polluted environments and try to stay in surroundings that have a good supply of fresh air. Dirty environment forces the body to work harder, to get the amount of oxygen it needs.
*.The amount of serotonin your body has is hugely affected by the amount of oxygen you inhale. Serotonin can significantly lighten your mood and promote a sense of happiness and well-being. Fresh air will leave you feeling more refreshed and relaxed.
*.Fresh air is also essential to make your immune system strong. White blood cells require more oxygen when working to kill and destroy bacteria, viruses, and germs. They need enough oxygen to work and function properly.
*.Fresh air purifies the blood, imparts to it a bright color, and sends the blood, a life-giving current, to every part of the body. What happens when you stay in closed area? If you stay in a closed in area for a long period of time, you will end up breathing in the same air over and over again. The oxygen content of the air will go down. Breathing this stale air will not supply your body with enough oxygen to keep your cells fueled and functioning properly. If you are breathing in stale air, you may suffer from certain health problems such as dizziness, nausea, headaches, fatigue and exhaustion, irritability, anxiety, depression, frequent fevers, colds, or lung diseases. If you are spending most of your time inside the air conditioned office or home, you are forcing your body to use stale air. By doing so you are making it harder for your body to stay healthy and fresh. Where can you find fresh air? Oxygen is a very important component of life. Fresh air is a free gift that we need to breathe liberally. To enjoy fresh air, it does not mean that you can find it everywhere outdoors. In large cities, finding clean and fresh air is not an easy task as the natural freshness of air is destroyed by tobacco smoke, city smog, re-circulating air in buildings, improper ventilation, exhaust, and many other pollutants. In big cities, you need to find a park or garden with plenty of trees and plants to enjoy fresh air. Also good quality air can be found in abundance around seashore and beaches.

The Arctic —Once Subtropical

The Arctic —Once Subtropical An international team of scientists who have been drilling into the floor of the Arctic Ocean between Siberia and Greenland say that the area once enjoyed a subtropical climate. The Arctic Coring Expedition relied on the assistance of three icebreakers during the work and obtained sediment samples from nearly 1,300 feet [400 meters] below the seabed. Tiny fossils of marine plants and animals found in those samples indicate that ocean temperatures were once about 70 degrees Fahrenheit [20 degrees C] , instead of the current 30 degrees Fahrenheit [-1.5 degrees C] . According to Professor Jan Backman of Stockholm University, quoted by BBC News, “the early history of the Arctic Basin will be reevaluated based on the scientific results collected on this expedition.”
